Respect for each child’s cultural heritage is extremely important at Yemin Orde and is intensely interwoven in the children’s experiences at the Village. In their education and in their daily lives, programs are designed to connect each child with his/her past.

This philosophy is practiced in many ways, such as participation by the entire Village in the Ethiopian holiday “Segd” and other cultural holidays such as Pushkin’s birthday, an annual Brazilian Festival, and the May 9th victory of the Russians over the Nazi regime.
