The Tikkun Olam Volunteer Program Endowment Fund

$250,000 ($50,000 a year for 5 years)

Through the Tikkun Olam Program, children in 11th and 12th grades travel once a week to neighboring towns to volunteer in various capacities such as after-school programs, in Rambam Hospital, nursing homes, soup kitchens, as well as inside the Village as tutors, and Big Brothers/Big sisters.

Experience has shown that when disadvantaged or at-risk children volunteer their free time to help others, it has a positive effect on their self-esteem and sense of self-worth, instilling a sense of respect for themselves and for those being helped.
