Every gift to Yemin Orde directly helps a child in need – and your support is needed now more than ever. Until nine years ago, Yemin Orde was funded by Youth Aliyah, a division of the Jewish Agency. In 1996, Youth Aliyah was subsumed into Israel’s Ministry of Education and funding for Yemin Orde and other youth villages was severely cut.
Today, Friends of Yemin Orde provides 24% of Yemin Orde’s general budget. This essential support directly helps 500 disadvantaged and immigrant children at Yemin Orde plus hundreds of graduates each year.
In addition to keeping the Village open year round, Yemin Orde provides funding to cover specialized programs and services and to complete much needed renovation and building projects. Yemin Orde is also building a strong endowment that will carry Yemin Orde through future periods of financial uncertainty.
