Success Stories
The young adults who graduate Yemin Orde move on to become accomplished and productive citizens of Israel. After suffering neglect and abandonment as youngsters and teens, these formerly at-risk children are healthy, capable and strong. They are Israel’s next generation of leaders.
The Graduate Mentor Program at Yemin Orde provides graduates with networking and referral opportunities by matching them with older Village alumni. These older graduates serve as mentors for the younger graduates and provide guidance through army service, higher education options and careers.
An extensive graduates' pages is available on the Yemin Orde Youth Village-Israel website that provides information on upcoming reunions and other graduate events. The graduate reunions also allow the Village to update its graduate database with current information so staff can remain in contact and offer opportunities for financial and emotional support.
Paying it Forward
Yemin Orde alumni are keenly aware of the importance of volunteering and providing help to those in need. The concept of "Paying it Forward" or re-paying a favor or good turn by doing the same to others becomes part of the learning and growing process to the children of the Village.
