Visit the Village

We invite you to visit Yemin Orde and experience the Village. It will surely be the highlight of any trip to Israel!

Yemin Orde welcomes hundreds of visitors from around the world each year: individuals, families, Jewish federations, synagogues - all of whom are invited to tour the Village and meet many of the children.

Some of our visitors

	U.S. military cadets and midshipmen visited Yemin Orde to learn about the Village and the Village Way methodology. The group spent three weeks in Israel as part of the 2012 JINSA (Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs) U.S. Military Academies program.  Many of the academy participants noted that their visit to Yemin Orde was one of the highlights of their trip to Israel.
	Dr. Kathleen McCartney, Dean, Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education met with Chaim Peri, YOEI founder and former director of the Village, and Dotan Levi, Director, Educational Institute, to learn how the Educational Initiatives expands the reach of the Yemin Orde model, thereby, helping to care for and educate hundreds more immigrant children and teens in Israel. 	Autumn Graves, President, Girard College, and Gabriel Kuriloff, Chief Executive Officer, Arise Academy Charter High School, visited the Village to meet staff, educators and children, and to see Yemin Orde’s unique methodology in action. This methodology, called The Village Way, creates communities of meaning for troubled youth and encourages them to embrace a healthy and wholesome attitude about themselves and about their future.
	U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, visited Yemin Orde in October 2009. “Yemin Orde is a microcosm of Israel and humanity as it should be,” said Ambassador Rice.
	Marcie Zelikow (center), National Campaign Chair, Friends of Yemin Orde, enjoys visiting the Village and talking with the children about their daily lives and hopes for the future.
