Orr Shalom Children’s Homes
Orr Shalom Children’s Homes are therapeutic foster group-homes for children ages 5 to 18 who suffer from severe neglect and abuse. The Orr Shalom foster homes provide not only a safe place to live and a family-style environment, but also therapeutic care and specialized treatments for 270 children-at-risk throughout Israel.
Through the Yemin Orde/Orr Shalom Hospitality Program, children spend one weekend a month and several weeks during holidays and summer vacation at Yemin Orde, gaining exposure to Yemin Orde’s philosophy and learning that they, too, will always have a home at Yemin Orde as eligible participants in the Yemin Orde Graduate Support Program. Yemin Orde is also helping Orr Shalom develop Jewish spirituality and identity programs.
