Sunday, October 11, 2009: Depart Newark airport on El Al at 2:30 pm
Day 1, Monday, October 12, 2009: Arrive in Israel at 6:35 am; Accompanied by former commandant of Israel's Officer Training School, General (ret) Yoram Yair "Yaya", travel by private bus to inspect the security fence that separates Israel from the West Bank; Visit Yemin Orde Youth Village and meet Visionary Educator Dr. Chaim Peri and have lunch with the students; Tour Yemin Orde; Travel to Haifa and have a welcome dinner with Yemin Orde Graduates and briefing on "The Mood of the Country" by Dr. Michael Reiner... Overnight at Dan Hotel Haifa.
Day 2, Tuesday, October 13, 2009: Meet Avi Ludomirsky – Israel's leading venture capitalist – for an overview of Israel's High Tech future; Visit Ramat David Israel's largest Air Force Base; Drive to Kibbutz Kabri for lunch and briefing with Brigadier General (ret) Eival Giladi, who was responsible for the design and implementation of the security fence separating Israel from the West Bank; Security Briefing along Israel Lebanon Border; Travel to Rosh Pina for an outdoor barbeque with local residents... Overnight at Bed and Breakfast in Rosh Pina
Day 3, Wednesday, October 14, 2009: Breakfast with students from the Yemin Orde Mechina Leadership Program for immigrant youth; Visit the Hashomer Cemetery of Tel-Chai – cemetery of the original defenders of Israel -; Ascend the Golan Heights with General (ret) Avigdor Kahalani, who was responsible for Israel's ability to regain control of the Golan in the 1973 Yom Kippur War; Travel to Tel Aviv for dinner with Israel's former Ambassador to Iran, Uri Lubrani who was responsible for negotiating the rescue and airlift of 15,000 Ethiopian Jews... Overnight Tel Aviv Hilton
Day 4, Thursday, October 15, 2009: Meet the head of the Israel Navy General "Chiny" and tour Navy headquarters; Meet Ron Huldai, Mayor of Tel Aviv; Lunch and Art Exhibit; Drive to Jerusalem and dinner with Nir Barkat, Mayor of Jerusalem... Overnight at David Citadel
Day 5, Friday, October 16, 2009: Travel to Yad Vashem; Walking Tour of the Old City including Police Surveillance Unit, Stations of the Cross and visit the Jewish Quarter; VIP tour of the Seibenberg House excavation led by the dynamic founders (the museum they created under their home has been featured by National Geographic, the BBC, CBS and others); Visit the Western Wall to greet the Shabbat; Festive Shabbat dinner at the hotel... Overnight at David Citadel
Day 6, Saturday, October 17, 2009: Optional trip to Masada and the Dead Sea ... or spend additional time in the Old City; festive dinner and final farewell; depart for Ben Gurion airport for midnight flight.
Sunday, October 18, 2009: Arrive Newark Airport at 6:10 a.m.
