Dr. Michael Reiner, who is a renowned scholar and expert on the history of the country.

Monday, October 4
Travel to Ramat David, Israel’s largest Air Force base and tour the base with Rami Galilee, F-16 squadron commander.

Arrive
at Yemin Orde Youth Village and meet visionary educator Dr. Chaim Peri. Tour the Village and have lunch with the children.
We will spend the afternoon meeting with some of Israel’s
leading venture capitalists including Dr. Abraham (Avi) Ludomirski, who
heads the VitaLife Fund which has developed a number of
highly successful medical device companies.
We will then have dinner with Dr. Nitza Kardish who is Vice President of Technion’s Incubator, where she helps companies grow from an entrepreneur’s brainchild to a viable enterprise, one of which is a company
known as Rewalk which allows paraplegics to walk again and is being field tested in Philadelphia.

Tuesday, October 5 (Pack a carry on bag for overnight)
After breakfast, depart for the Western Galil College where we will meet with Brigadier General (ret.) Eival Gilady, who was responsible for the design and implementation of the security fence separating Israel from the West Bank.

After lunch, Eival will provide a security briefing along
Israel’s border with Lebanon, which will include a visit to the site
of the abduction of the Israel soldiers, Regev and Goldwasser,
by the Hezbollah.
Visit Tel Hashomer, cemetery of the original defenders of Israel,
with Michael Reiner.
Drive to Rosh Pina for an outdoor dinner with local families.
Stay overnight at the unique and beautiful Rosh Pina guesthouses.
Wednesday, October 6
Breakfast in Rosh Pina, followed by a walking tour
of this historic village which was founded by the
Rothschild family.

Visit the Golan Heights with General (ret.)
Yoram Yair, best known as “Yaya”, former commander of the
paratroopers and one of Israel’s best known
military personalities.
Picnic lunch
Visit the Pre-Army Leadership Training Program in Hatzor, which prepares immigrant
youth for leadership positions in the military.
Dinner with David Ben-Uziel, a former Mossad agent who is better known as Tarzan. He has a special story to tell about an unprecedented intelligence operation to rescue Ethiopian Jews in which he participated.
Overnight Carlton Tel Aviv
Thursday, October 7
Breakfast with Zeev Bielski, former Mayor of Ra’anana for 17 years with a 77% approval rating, who subsequently became head of the Jewish Agency. Today,
Zeev is a member of the Knesset.
Visit Machon Ayalon – Israel’s underground ammunition factory in Rehovot,
which helped Israel get ready for the War of Independence.
Lunch with Brigadier General Relik Shafir, who flew one of the planes that
attacked the nuclear reactor in Iraq in 1981. He also commanded two of Israel’s
largest air bases prior to retiring from active duty.
Cocktail reception at the home of a prominent Israeli philanthropist and meet with Israeli entrepreneurs.
Farewell dinner in Tel Aviv with entertainment provided by the Yemin Orde Youth Choir.
