Yemin Orde in Your Community
Yemin Orde Youth Village and the children it serves depend on people like you. Please take a moment to see how communities across the United States helped support Yemin Orde in its time of need. From bake sales and garage sales to choral concerts and synagogue outreach, fundraising events at the grassroots level provided the awareness and support that proved so crucial to Yemin Orde’s recovery.

Custom-designed T-shirt Sold to Benefit Yemin Orde
Jared, a teen from the Bay Area in Northern California, raised more than $600 for Yemin Orde by selling custom-designed T-shirts at his Bar Mitzvah on May 14, 2011. Jared said his goal is to raise as much money as possible for Yemin Orde's fire recovery efforts. The T-shirts are $20 each, plus shipping; 100 percent of proceeds will go to Yemin Orde. To order, email yeminordet@gmail.com. Adult sizes available.

Grants Awarded by Teen Philanthropists
On Tuesday, May 24, 2011,
Yemin Orde was presented with two fantastic grant checks at award ceremonies by
the Bay Area Jewish Teen Foundation Youth Philanthropy. One grant for $8,000 is
from the North Peninsula Jewish Community Teen Foundation; another grant for
$10,000 is from the Marin/San Francisco Jewish Community Teen Foundation. These
grants will be used to help install new water lines at the Village that were
destroyed during the wildfires, December, 2011. We are so thrilled to partner
with the next generation of philanthropists!
