Programs: Enrichment Programs
Arts and Music
The Fred Brenner Arts Pavilion and the Beit Joie Center house the arts and music programs of the Village. In constant use, the complex offers courses in photography, sculpture, drawing, painting, video production, dance, drama and music. Children can learn to play a range of instruments and/or participate in the Village’s orchestra or choir. Yemin Orde’s internal cable TV channel is used to announce birthdays, interview visitors to the Village and screen educational programs and discussions. Under the direction of Music Director Ronen Lan-Rieder, the Yemin Orde Choir has performed in Israel and internationally - including at the re-opening of the only surviving synagogue in Auschwitz at the invitation of the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation, and the General Assemblies of Jewish Federations in Chicago (2000) and in Cleveland (2004).
Extracurricular Activities
Through the extensive extracurricular activities, Yemin Orde youngsters are able to join scouting troops and sports teams, and participate in dance, karate, drama, and music (both individual and group instruction), home repair clubs and carpentry. Whenever possible, the Village responds to the special needs and requests of the children.
