The Graduate Program

Yemin Orde is home for life. After graduation, alumni enter the army or national service and are supported throughout their service. Staff send care packages and attend army ceremonies. Yemin Orde provides a place for graduates to stay if they have nowhere else to go in the Village’s Graduate House. Yemin Orde also provides housing stipends, loans, and is the venue for special events such as wedding receptions and reunions.

Scholarship Funds

Yemin Orde provides graduates with need-based scholarships to universities and other institutions of higher education. Nearly 400 graduates are currently being helped. Scholarships may be established in honor or in memory of a loved one.

The Graduate House

The 65 bed Graduate “Home Away from Home” provides accommodation that is always available for any Yemin Orde graduate. Many of Yemin Orde’s children have no family or other source of support in Israel and need somewhere to stay during their army service and even their higher education studies. The Graduate House (the “Home Away from Home”) ensures that Yemin Orde graduates will always have a comfortable place to stay and a welcoming and supportive network.

The Mechina

Yemin Orde’s innovative one-year (post high school/pre-army) enrichment and leadership development program was designed to prepare Yemin Orde graduates for fuller and more meaningful service in the IDF, preferably in leadership/officer positions. The program offers Ethiopian and Russian immigrants training in Communal Studies, Leadership Studies, Jewish History, Israeli Studies, IT and Communications, Economics, as well as full preparation for service in the IDF. Now in its fifth year, the program was recently reviewed by the leadership of the IDF for implementation on a national level.
