Tikkun Olam Program

Through the Tikkun Olam Program, all children in 11th and 12th grades travel once a week to neighboring towns to volunteer in various capacities such as after-school programs, in Rambam Hospital, nursing homes, and soup kitchens. Experience has shown that when disadvantaged or at-risk children volunteer their free time to help others, it has a positive effect on their self-esteem and sense of self-worth, instilling a sense of respect for themselves and for those being helped.

Terror Victims Program

Yemin Orde has become a center of spiritual regeneration for the victims of terrorist attacks and their families. On Holidays and weekends, Yemin Orde hosts these special guests, providing emotional support, counseling, dialogue sessions and a welcome respite from their everyday lives.

This special program was designed and is run by Dr. Chaim Peri. Guests mix with Yemin Orde students who act as their guides, help with their children and talk with the guests about their own backgrounds and hopes for their futures in Israel.

Summer Camp for Children of Foreign Workers

Each summer, in partnership with the Bialik School in Tel Aviv (one of the few schools that accept children of foreign workers), Yemin Orde hosts a summer camp program for 35 children of foreign workers, from grades 5 - 6. This program offers the children the opportunity to experience five days of summer camp at the Village - many say it is the best week of their lives. Seven Yemin Orde students participate as counselors in the program. As in any summer camp program, the Yemin Orde children organize activities and events for the children, and supervise the children at meal-times and in the evenings.
